Founded in 1978 by a professional in the agro-industrial area, linked to the farming activity in areas such us the production of grapes (for viticulture and table use), citric and kiwis.

Since 1996, the Company starts to develop an innovative project for the production of extra virgin organic olive oil of high standard in Chile. To accomplish this task the basic genetic material was imported from Italy, Spain and Greece. By the year 1999 the first stage of the olive-grove was planted, followed by the second stage in the year 2001 and finishing in the year 2002 with a total of 210 hectare in the Metropolitan area.

In addition to this, and after eight years of research, it was added to this project the best technology and knowledge from Italy and Spain, in order to obtain a product of the highest quality. Our motivation is based on the logic behind organic agriculture, which seeks the harmonious correlation of environmental, genetic and agronomic factors, therefore accepting the natural biodiversity of the environment in which our agriculture develops.

We know that this respect for the environment helps us obtain a healthy and an excellent quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil.  At present, Olave is a relevant actor in the national market and it’s already present in more than 15 countries, emphasizing the United States, Canada, Japan, Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela and Colombia, and has received –since the beginning- a number of international awards such us being selected in two opportunities -in the year 2005- the best organic olive oil in the world.
